A VHS video will play on any machine, but be warned that video players are rare these days - due to the popularity of DVD players.

A DVD disc will need to be ''all regions'' compatible if you buy one in Oz and send it to Wales. It will tell you this on the cover in the small print.

Australia is region 4 - UK (incl Wales) is region 2.

Your nephew will need a region free player if you purchase the DVD in Aus, otherwise, buy online from a UK based store and set delivery location to your nephews address.
