Because it is an extrememly contact kind of sport. And you do not really wear any gear.. It is usually called a barbarian sport. But yeah apparently not. Rugby is awesome, and guys who join are obviously strong, and do not need shoulder pads and what not.

Cause they do not understand the game, you generally have to be tough to play and maybe they are not tough enough so they use this as an excuse.

They are afraid of loseing their soccer players to rugby. and they are not very mature.
They also need to find a different word than gay; that really emphasizes their maturity (not).

Invite your soccer friends down to play a little rugby. Put them in the scrum. That should change their mind about the 'gayness' of the game.
Mind you gay _do_ play rugby as do gay people play soccer and just about any sport. Do not think it really matters.

they should try it out and prove which of the two sports, soccer or rugby is of gay, coz see the fitness level of the two games. l wander why people like watching soccer becoz it is such a long and borin sports when compared to rugby.
