Im Only 18 yrs old. and It took me 17 consecutive hours (10mins. of rest between sets) to have a total of 14,000 skip ropes. Do you think that is marvellous... or need more training ? Why ?

Okay firstly, it was good that u managed to do 17 hours of exersize though maybe next time do a couple of hours a day instead including differing types of exersize not just skipping.

Secondly well done that u were able to keep count.

However when u break this down it only works out to 14 skips per minute so really that is not a very high rate.
Young boxers of ur age r able to do 100 skips per minute quite easily & would do maybe a 15 minute skip exersize session. So 1500 in 15 minutes is not unrealistic.
Go for more skips per minute & do 10-15 minute reps to get a better affect on stamina.

Have to agree with tony; try to make training shorter & more powerful rather than long & drawn out. On the bright side, ur overall stamina & dogged determination astound me; the ability to also keep count to 14,000 whilst suffering from some form of fatigue is also notable. There is however a risk that u run by 'over training' in this sense. For a start, make sure u warm down. Do some stretches, walk/jog around for a bit. If u have a pool go for a relaxing swim. If u just leave it, this nasty little thing called lactic acid means ur thighs, quads, & possibly calves r going to be experiencing all sorts of pain tomorrow. You also run the risk of seriously damaging many crucial areas of ur lower body, namely ur bone structure & ligaments. So well done, but next time keep it short n sharp.
