I am just wondering if this is a bad decision, i've never played before and l do not have cleats but l do not wanna join and invest in cleats and quit...like i'm afraid b/c of my size l wo not be of help to the team anyway...

Yes it is called wing. does not matter how small you are you just have to be hard. so harden up girl..

Height does not matter as long as you can play the game well. If you try hard enough, it should not make a difference

You could be a tight end, or a full back.just kidding if you play hard and have some skill l think they will let you play. Good luck.

if you consider your body type, then your way to success will be shorter. But if you are not looking for success and you are looking for some fun, enjoy it. in the other hand your hard work provides you the best condition even if your body is not fit to what you are going to do.

l know plenty of girls that r as small or smaller than you. u could be a hooker or on the wing- if youre fast enough the big girls cant catch you!! get a cheap pair of soccer cleats to start with & that way its not that big of an investment. u can find a decent pair for 30$ or less. it takes all sizes to play rugby. ive seen of the biggest girls brought down by the littlest!

to be honest, playing rugby has been the best decision ive ever made. it has given me so much confidence & led me to life long friends. its more than just a sport- its a lifestyle- get ready for tons of fun

One of the main advantages of height is that you weigh more and still have good speed however if you have good feet you do not need to go through people you can go around them or you can play one of the positions that that requires less power eg scrum half or out-half . By the way that irish scrum halfs name is Peter Stringer who looks so small because he always stands between two second rows he is actually 152cm (5'5)

ur best bet is probably scrum-half, however as a beginner it will probably be pretty difficult to start playing at such as specialised pos.(if u do start playing scrum-half u should definetley get a ball & practice ur spin pass) l would not really think being a winger would fit ur build either as thts where most of the teams pace comes from & being short l wouldnt have thought u'd be terribly fast either. Most hookers r traditionally shorter but tht really depends on u, whether u r strong enough for forwards play.

You can be a fly-half or scrum-half (or perhaps winger) if you are skillfull. As for the ''small'' part, you can work out.

There are plenty of positions.. if you're a larger girl you can play a hooker and if your lankier you can try out for the wing position.

l am only 5'3 & play winger, where l have not found size a problem. Our scrum half is only 4'10 so l really would not worry about it at all, u just have to be tough, & muscle/bulk is more use than height. Often height can work against u - we have a girl on our team who is 6'2 & incredibly fast, but when she is tackled her height unbalances her & skilled tacklers can take her down a lot more easily than someone like me because my centre of gravity is much lower. Just go for it!
